Yeah, ditto this.Daaru said:It's an old tactic, telkom are going to pressure the relationship until we can't take it anymore when ever we turn to protect ourselves they'll ask if we don't trust them, if we continue on they'll just drag thier heals, they win both ways.
IMO the 'reasonable time' has already passed. If they wanted to meet you (or even vaguely respected you or what you represent), it would have happened already. It's a lost cause, these guys are arrogant, think nothing of you, are already setting you up, they certainly will NOT improve the ADSL product (that much is 100% sure). My impression is that at best they think of you as merely an irritating fly buzzing round their heads, they will try to screw you every way they can, and the longer this drags on the more damage there will be. And they will lie to the press about whatever happens. Best to get out of it now and stay out, 'cut your losses', even if it means a negative press release from Telkom - heck, that will happen ANYWAY, guaranteed. So rather play their own game at this point: Issue a more accurate but also negative press release first, something like "Telkom unwilling to engage in meeting with MyADSL, makes accusations of bias" (yes they ARE unwilling even though they haven't explicitly stated it (they never will state it, of course, they're not stupid, so there is no sense waiting indefinitely until you get an e-mail stating 'we will not meet you') so it's NOT inaccurate to say it ... they do the same kind of thing all the time), followed by explanation of the story from your angle. (PR rule #1: Be the one to control the way in which the public first hears a piece of information --- i.e. if you're first to 'break' a story, you're the one who gets to decide what the "angle"/"spin" will be when the public first hears it.) Right now they are the ones in control, they always have been, you're actually "just" a customer and aren't under any obligation to hold a meeting with them and it is certainly not your "fault" if 'dialog' fails and the product doesn't improve, yet now you're already being set up to make it look like your fault .. it's a trap.rpm said:"What do you guys think is a reasonable time to wait for feedback on this matter?"

This email has been removed as it was intended as a personal email. Please do not see this as censorship…it was a misunderstanding from my side thinking it was an open reply. In my further telephonic discussion with Telkom it was agreed that the meeting can be recorded to ensure transparency.

They sent you a reply - that makes it an open reply, unless they *specifically* stated otherwise *in that reply*. No excuses. They have to know who you are by now, Telkom has had knowledge of MyADSL since its inception.
Anyone sending mail form a large company, *especially* a Marketing droid, should take into account that their e-mails are subject to public scrutiny at any time. Sorry, the "privacy" angle just doesn't wash.
