That tool isn't 100% accurate. I often get coverage that is far away from their coverage map.

If they are not distinguishing on net and roaming data bundles any more then check the mtn coverage too

Guess this means the MTN and Telkom deal is finished, hence the same data rate on either network.

It looks like they are all network bundles from their website which will suit me just fine. Just a little disappointed that the 60GB + 60GB bundle will be discontinued...

Better than the likes of Vodacom and MTN.

I think they will do this.

The wording of the sms included: "The 2GB+1GB Telkom data bundle will be replaced with new bundles offering better network coverage."

If it was still Telkom-only, changing the data bundles would not have any effect on network coverage whatsoever.

The wording is technically wrong but I think what they meant was with the new bundles comes more coverage as they no longer split all networks and telkom only bundles. So one bundle works for both MTN and Telkom coverage.

Would be interesting to see. Hope they would get MTN LTE roaming agreement too then these prices are not that bad actually.

Decent voice rates with decent bundles backed by 2 networks could be a good thing.

Highly doubt it. Go visit Telkom Mobile websites you'll notice they have scrapped/removed the 2+1 and Go Big 60+60. It seems like the prices advertised on their website will be effective as of tomorrow. You'll benefit if you've a Go Big Bundle already loaded on your account and combined together. 120 gb

Yeah you can. About the all in one data I am not sure at all. Already loaded a Go Big

Well there will be happy and sad customers.

The happy customers would be the ones with limited or no Telkom coverage which means these new data bundles will be much much cheaper as it allows both MTN and Telkom towers. WAY cheaper than the old all networks bundles that cost a arm and a leg.

The unhappy customers would be those that use Telkom Mobile prepaid for fixed home wireless solutions and that have great 3G,LTE or LTE-A speeds because they will be getting less value for money on the high bundles.

I can't see any reason not to cater for both. Where Telkom previously catered for the latter they are now catering for the former. Both solutions don't work very well.
