Telkom reveals new mobile data prices

Has anyone loaded R100 plus airtime today
Is TM still offering 10gb free wifi for 30 days
And 7 days free night time calls?

Can someone confirm this

Loaded last night so I'm sure that would not have changed...

A friend loaded on telkom more today
Not the same offering

I also noticed the R5 plus for unlimited calls for 1 day offerings are no longer there

Still available to purchase. If you've the cash. Go out and buy airtime and load another bundle.

Goodbye Telkom Mobile I will be going elsewhere for my data needs. The reason could be there wasn't enough demand for their uncapped data.
I would have been happy to use there uncapped package... they didn't offer it in my area...

Yup just saw now that the cheap Telkom to Telkom calls option is gone....

You stay down the road from me. We should boycott together that way they sign you up on the deal. Our base station is terribly slow. Especially on LTE. Logged a call today with the consultant. Hopefully it gets resolved.

Already informed someone in top management to update the website. . Now with the new data prices out every website will most probably have to be updated.

They have also discontinued Unlimited Promotion( Telkom Mobile - R5 or R20) at this rate will shop around to make cheaper calls....... Doesn't mean now that they generating a profit that they should up the prices. If Telkom Mobile continue like this will have no alternative but to port over to another network.

I think the promotion is very much alive under a different package.

Anyone willing to test, and give feedback if there is some sexy fancy prepaid data promotion

All packages above 250 mb are valid for 2 months. So that is good news. Also, I think the new rates now appeal all network users. Everyone on current deals will not be happy because most were on telkom coverage.
Telkom can now compete with vodascum et al with these rates. Which means they now have a bigger market, they willing to sacrifice the minority of loyal prepaid users with this..

please dont tell me the BONUS WIFI is gone aswell...Telkom Mobile please respond...

So which would be a better deal here. 2GB on MTN for R260 (plus the extra 2GB giveback data) or the 3GB R199 on TM. The advantage with the MTN option is that you can extend the bundle for as long as you want adter the giveback data expires, whereas with TM it'll expire in 60 days... Thoughts?

None. I would say Axxess on a MTN prepaid LTE sim card is the best option actually.

If you want it with MTN or Telkom it is a very interesting question.

On MTN you have access to MTN 3G and MTN LTE.
On Telkom You have access to Telkom 3G, Telkom LTE and MTN 3G

Wonder which one of those combinations will work the best. If Telkom extends their agreement with MTN to include their LTE then things would get real fun.

Just checked Axxess website - 5GB for R246. That's a very good price.

I'm in a Telkom Mobile coverage area, so nothing comes close to the "60GB+60GB for R1800" now :(.

(equivalent to ~ 5GB+5GB for R150pm).
