Hey guys, I got this problem. My dad has a telkom sa account but the mail is not working. Current settings are:

pop3.telkomsa.net on port 110
mail.saix.net on port 25
ADSL Line
Log on using secure authentication checked

just not working. any ideas?
 
cant you just use smtp.saix.net or smtp.dsl.telkomsa.net?
 
Try disabling smtp auth. Otherwise post a traceroute to the smtp servers?
 
might be a problem with your email program then. set it up in outlook express or similar.
 
vista cmd doesn't seem to like telnet :(. says something like authentication settings may be incorrect
 
Well I found a flaw with some peoples versions, rather download Thunderbird, I also found that outlook corrupts some clients inbox, weird i know, don,t worry about putting in any settings when installing Thunderbird ,it gets pulled over you just need to say from which email program
 
down load teamviewer install it an send me a private message with your team viewer ID en password , dont worry the password always change i wont be able to get on your pc again, also you can knock me off any time
