Telkom Speed Upgrade

Really dont understand why Telkom upgrades the speeds the way they do. They upgrading 4meg to 10 meg and they prolly only going to upgrade 384 to 512 (If it is anything like the last speed upgrades) They more than doubling the speeds of 4meg and not even doubling the speeds of 384.....

So now a few people get INSANE speeds on par with the rest of the world and the rest of us get these ****ty speeds that shouldnt even be called broadband. I understand them wanting to have a gap between the 3 services but this is just ridiculous. Surely 1 meg, 2 meg, 8 meg makes more sense. Or even just have more options, really don't get Telkom. No wonder the mobile industry is doing so much better.

Maybe I am missing something.

yes yes, your saying the same thing lots of other people have said on the forum. At the moment no one knows whats going to happen with the 384/512 users and there is not point getting worked up on pure speculation.

From what I've heard there will be upgrades, but then again I don't know if I can trust the source (Telkom Tech). Also not sure when they will happen, he didn't want to give too much info. As far as speed upgrades 384 --> 512 and 512 --> 4Mb. Again, this is just hear say.

Nothing seems to be able to get confirmed from what I know except for 4Mbit users being moved to 10Mbit.. As for other speeds, I dont think there has really been any official word about lower speeds being upgraded. It's quite sad really. Im so tired of only being able to afford a 384 line

PLEASE - We know it sucks, we know its stupid, we know its unfair, we know that everybody hatest telscum, We know that everyone is pissed! BUT PLEASE can we put this to rest, moaning on MyBB is not going to change anything. And its getting annoying becuase it clogs up and leads all threads about 10mb/s into the wrong direction and the OP does not get answered.

Whilst constant moaning is annoying i disagree with you.
Acceptance breeds complacency, and if we don't have people moaning you are doing less then nothing for the cause.[Not that Telkom listen but at least its written in binary for the archives.]

Good work Nicko, there are many threads on this already but at least you highlight the situation to all the many non-members reading through this TELECOMS FORUM.
