This morning my router stopped syncing so I called Telkom and they answered straight away, I didn't hear that stupid telkom music. Usually when I call I have to wait for over 30 mins for someone to answer the fone. My problem was sorted out within 5 minutes after the guy answered, he had to just reset the port at the exchange.
 
They are normally much less busy early in the morning. Try again at 12h00

Calm down, this is exactly how telkom wants us to react..

I have been there many a times before and i know it is very frustrating :cool:
 
/me had to phone 3 times yesterday ..... didn't wait longer than 11 minutes all 3 times :o
 
I have also found their service levels vastly improved over the last 2 months or so.
 
The call back service that they have now added to the ADSL fault reporting number was a huge improvement
 
Yip, things have improved. The also got that thing where you punch in your number and they call you back when you get to the front of the queue. Not bad, saves me from sitting around with a phone to my head.
 
my sync on my router when down this afternoon, so i waited about 2hours. and just as i about to pick up the phone and explode on someones head, it came back on....weird hahah
 
My personal record is 1 hour and 24 minutes, without answer, I hung up the problem sorted it self out in the time I had to listen to that soul numbing music!!!

(It has not improved this was on Tuesday! ) If this is improvement then how long did people have to hold on in the past!! Yikes!

Now wonder they make so much headline profits, they don't spend any money, their service is shocking, when you finally get to speak to someone, most of the times they don't know what is going on, and have the telephone manner of a drunken retard.

Pleeeeease fix your service and delivery!

Not to speak of the shocking conditions of broadband and the exorbitant costs associated with it!!!

Still holding after being disconnected waiting 1.5 hours by some moron and now waiting 1.2 hours and counting...
 
Well, with people leaving Telkom daily, their service will get better, they won't have anyone to service ;)

Just the way I like it.
 
Someone mention the call-back option above, why don't you try that.

Telkom idiots dropped me from 4meg to 2meg WTF!!! and didnt even tell me:mad:

Finally got through via CALLBACK:D.....guy moved me back up to 4meg but....I reset 5x and still at 2meg WTF again:mad:

They ADSL support went from good to bad:confused mad:

:mad:im nuking telkom....

EDIT: ooh when did I become senior member :D
