Telkom tops complaints list

For site, driven by complaints. I find the ratio worthless to say the least.

People log onto Hellopeter to complain not to praise companies. So to me personaly that stats are rather worthless. Rater do an article which highlights the amount of complaints not Complaints vs Compliments

Yes, the compliment/complaint ratio is a ridiculous stat IMO. If I was in charge of service for any of the mentioned companies, I wouldnt give that stat much notice at all.

Sure the ratio by itself is worthless but in the article it is used as a comparison factor.

What i do think is hellopeter should not be mentioned or featured in
any myadsl article

I hate that bloody site :D

Anyway, I just had a look at the numbers there, and for some reason it seemed to be favoured against Telkom SA

As per Hellopeter

Telkom SA 221 1769 11%

Note that they are a company that doesn't respond in relation to the others. So I feel that comparison is rather ridiculous

I'm not suprised Telkom is at the top of the list. Really sad, but I'm nevertheless laughing at Telkom- they should be a kind, caring company... but why the hell would they want to? Either way the make money.

+1. Firstly only around 25% of people actually let companies know they do a decent service and around 65-70% of people let companies know if they are completely and utterly useless. So neither are accurate. Also, Hellopeter is not a recognised company or service of any kind. It's simply a compliment/complaint site.

What surprises me, is that Telkodemonopolies only got 12 complaints over a 5 day period - I would expect it to be hundreds of complaints, but I suppose one has to take into account the fact that some people realise there is little point in complaining about a company that chose to stop responding to complaints - not that I like the whole HP methodology bcos I believe it is severely flawed [as per my previous posts on the subject of HP].

If only Telkodemonopolies had a wired fixed line network operator competitor providing consumers with services like ADSL [preferably at least ADSL2+], then one could tell Telkodemonopolies where to shove its cable jack.

Who?? in their right mind would give Telkom a compliment anyway??:D:D:D

I agree. You can't use that site to create a ratio.

And I also agree that Hellopeter should not be featured here. Hate that site.

Very few people will give compliments on good service and far more will complain about bad service (as already mentioned by froot). With Hellopeter being a paid site it is not really in the best interests of the consumer. As suggested numerous times before Mybroadband should start a similar free service.

no big surprise about telkom being number one on the list.eiskom is second i presume.

monopolies have no incentive to improve service quality, and thats why hellkom is suffering so. they were supposed to adjust when it became clear that their monopolistic ways were coming to an end...

after this big 35% eiskom increase they might be number one
