Telkom tops HelloPeter bad service chart

If it made any difference I would have added my 2 cents.

Damn Telkom, thieves doing debit orders on my account for services I never approved and refusing to refund. I fukkin hate them so damn much.

A search for assault brings up more than one Telkom complaint on Helopeter.

+1. Had the R140 deal for 3 months, and Surprise! They've billed me the full R500 for their DSLslowest service and HellkomInternet8GB in my final month even though I opted out of the service before the cutoff. Knowing this would probably happen, I put a R300 max cap on my debit order. Amazingly they decided to then charge me interest on the outstanding R200 they stole from me in the first place.

Perhaps Telkom think HelloPeter is some kind of a competition cos they clearly trying their best to win it.

I've referred a client to that 3-month trial. If they try and pull that move (charging the full amount), I will haul-ass over there just before closing time, and refuse to leave til they fix it!

I refuse to have debit orders against any account. Period.

There is absolutely NO DIFFERENCE whatsoever between a signing a debit order and giving away your internet banking details!

Companies have to pay Hello Peter to respond. Its how they make money!
I also wouldn't respond to HP

Considering Hellopeter owns the information posted and the company is given an opportunity to fix whats broken, I'd say whether a company responds or not is an indication of how valuable said company sees those clients (who complain).

In the case of Telkom, the numbers say it all. I struggle to think of anyone I know who hasn't had issues with Telkom and even worse issues trying to sort those issues out.

Their "policy" is that you pay first, then ask questions, and then they will credit you (hopefully) on the next invoice.

We all know Telkom should be at the top of the list - but Hellopeter really sucks. Its extortion - you have to pay hellopeter to respond.

So what else is really new.

I wanted to take it as well but I knew it would be a f..k up.

4.5 million telephone users, ~800000 ADSL users, 210 complaints a month (2500 in a year).

Sounds quite good to me.

As a comparison, over the last 12 months Web Africa's Hellopeter stats are looking like this:

  • 80 complaints
  • 138 compliments
  • 5 coversions
  • 63% compliments
  • 37% complaints
  • Highest compliments ratio
  • Lowest complaints ratio

+1, HelloPeter charges a fraction of what Telkom pays their fat cat executives. Any company that doesn't respond on there, especially the big corporates just give an indication of not giving a damn about you or your complaints with them. You will get milked by them, regardless of queries. Absolutely marvelous PR *sarcasm*
