Telkom (un)capping this month?

Got 80 gig int last month and telkom said nothing just as soon as the line drops then you will see it will be capped with local only.......have fun

Same here. I'm just holding thumbs each day. The 3 gig account was complete on Day 10 but the 2 gig is still going....
 
I'm running on a 4 GB account and I got 5.3039 GB out of it.
 
Telkom gives you 150% of your blended cap to compensate for any downtime on their systems.
 
You mean 125%? If it would be 150% I would get 6144 MB ;)

I did 9Gb international on a 1Gb account over 2 weeks earlier this year. Never got capped even after repeatedly disconnecting and redialling, and never got billed. It was a once-off though, the next month i got capped at 1.5Gb as usual.
 
Have I moved to 4GB?

Is this what you all talking about? This is what I wrote to Telkom but never received a reply

[B]I have noticed from my usage (see 2 examples below) that it seems I have more bandwidth available then I had before. If I have used 45.23% it means the total available was 4.488 GB or in the second example 4.49GB. I thought I had about 3.2GB available in the month. Has this been increased without my knowing?

Blended Usage
Uploaded - 169MB or [0.16GB]
Downloaded - 1.87GB
Combined Total - 2.03GB
Percentage used - 45.23%


Blended Usage
Uploaded - 114MB or [0.11GB]
Downloaded - 1.35GB
Combined Total - 1.47GB
Percentage used - 32.69%[/B][/I]
 
We've got a 3GB Cap on iBurst at work, I don't even think we've past the 250MB Barrier yet.
 
150% sounds about right--I usually get capped at 1.5G on my Do-1 package. But I hear depends on other users associated with the local exchange---if more users go over the limit, then the threshold is lowered. So there may be good months and some bad months.

confirmed +- 150%. and maybe once a year it's a really good month ;)

150% of what you pay for i mean, for example 1.5 on a 1gig. 3 on a 2gig, 4.5 on a 3 gig

Yeah, and I think I need to slow down. Its 6th of June and I'm already on 16.8092 GB local usage. Maybe its time to upgrade to uncapped!
