Telkom unveils new mobile data plans

Telkom has launched a selection of new mobile data plans which can be used on both Telkom and Vodacom's network.

These offer a better solution for customers in areas without Telkom coverage than the recently-overhauled SmartBroadband Wireless plans, which can's be used when roaming on Vodacom's infrastructure.

Telkom said the anytime data for each plan can be used on both the “TelkomSA” and “TelkomSA-R” networks, and has a validity period of two calendar months.

I wonder if freeme is doing good or bad judging by the fact that Telkom is focusing on standard data plans more, I am more interested in standard data than freeme. I think freeme is expensive because for same R100 which gives me 1GB I may opt for 5GB plus 5GB night data

Cellc prepaid R10/gig (200gigs for R1999) valid for 365days, roaming on MTN is still a better deal for those outside of telkoms network coverage.
