Telkom voice lines down after vandalism

Telkom infrastructure vandalised in the West Rand has resulted in downtime for business and residential customers, said the company.

“Criminals are targeting Street Distribution Cabinets where modules are stolen or damaged, which impacts voice services to customers.”

Telkom said damage to the modules results in the loss of dialling tone between Telkom customers.

So only voice services are affected?
