Telkom vs Dotco case postponed

According to Rikus Matthyser, from TelkomInternet, he is able to accommodate the high bandwidth users on his system because of good management principles.

WTF?
If he can accommodate those users, what is the point of the cap?

The latest ADSL findings should play nicely in favour of offering a higher cap service....even ICASA says so - so waaa Telkom you're going down - about time! :-))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

"good management principles"

BWAHAHAHAHAHA - tears of laughter

otherwise known as over selling and deception. kind of reminds me of the marketing team in Dilbert

question - what is the difference between a "high bandwidth user" and an "abuser"? where does the line get drawn?

[/jk..i thought maybe slimothy would be an *abuser* while killadoob would be a *high* bandwith user]

According to Rikus Matthyser, from TelkomInternet, he is able to accommodate the high bandwidth users on his system because of good management principles.

The good management priciples are as follows: Allow the independent ISP's to sell 30GB packages affordably.

All the "heavy users" moves over.

Telkom ISP is left with almost no heavy users.... and the independents with very few small users.

That makes many things possible.

A very nice, honourable Telkom ploy I must admit.

The 3GB accounts were sold to ISP's as 3GB accounts with maximum 30GB of usage - which is a 30GB account.

If you sell someone a mug that only holds 300ml but its maximum is 3 litres then its a 3 litre jug.

Yes you can put 3l beer in a 30l mug but not 30l beer in a 3l mug, you will spill 27l.
Bloody dumb basterds.

Dotco are gonna lose.
If it was stipulated that it would change then they have no case.
End of story.

It depends on what was stipulated, and what was said.

Like a car salesman who promises a Ferarri in the guise of a Citi Golf, until one asks him to put his promises on paper...

Rikus Matthyser, talk about blowing your own horn... come to think of it, you are actually quite good at it.... blow.... suck..... which ever suits you.

Just bcos a Telkodemonopoly lawyer says it is so, does not make it so,
Wanna bet? I'll wager they stand in front of the mirror saying "I am the law" in their best Judge Dread voices. They sure act like they are.

Fast becoming the most quoted quote on this site

"According to Rikus Matthyser, from TelkomInternet, he is able to accommodate the high bandwidth users on his system because of good management principles."

So according to Telkom, they are the only ones allowed to exercise good management principles. Are they not doing exactly what they claim Dotco should no longer be doing?

I agree with Kaaspaas - It depends on what was stipulated, and what was said. Also, what Dotco have on paper in terms of their contract with Telkom.

HAHA Rikus Mathyser makes me cry! :D.

Not a big issue the case was postponed since it's going to be heard later this week.
