Telkom confirms that a gas leakage was responsible for Yeoville explosion this morning

Why? This had nothing to do with them. It was an underground gas leak and the spark was supplied by Joburg City Power transformers.

A gas utility's pipeline exploding under a building makes the occupier of the building incompetent? That's a bit of a stretch.

Its not always GAS as you would normally expect it. Sometimes its fumes from nearby petrol stations that seep into low areas...and manholes. Such a case happened in Phoenix Industrial park about 15 years ago.

This is telkom we are talking about, they can write whatever they want in the story but I know its their fault...somehow
