Telkom's adsl network

Dear Gamos.
Are you offended by what i said in the previous topic??. I am currently a unhappy ADSL customer and acting on freedom of speech. I do understand that what i said is harsh, but i have been screwed by Telk*m one to many times.

Hi Gamos and Oblix

Both of you have valid points. I altered Oblix’s message somewhat, but also believes that this is a forum where users must be able to voice their opinions, even if it is rather harsh. Having said this, I can unfortunately not allow any suggestions of harmful actions on this forum, and language that is too strong might offend some users.

I am certain most of us can relate to Oblix’s irritation, and would like you to view this posting in this light.

Regards,

RPM

I'm not offended by what you said, Oblix, I have shared your anger on many an occassion.
However, I must agree with RPM&gamos that the kind of action you proposed is not the way to go. In fact, I think it is a threat to what this site is trying to achieve.

I know many of you have complained about traffic shaping that telkom does on the adsl network. Why did telkom implement traffic shaping, what is the reason behinf it ? (Telkom please provide us with a direct answer)...... here is the possible reasons why telkom implemented (or tired to) traffic shaping, the downloading of MP3's, dvd's, ...... i cannot understand why it was implemented. Telkom you have NO RIGHT restricting the users using their bandwith at their own discression. TAKE THE TRAFFIC SHAPING OFF!!!!. i have not reached my cap, but the internation bandwith is so slow that i cannot even open up the cnn.com page.
I think the biggest problem for us is the traffic shaping that telkom tried to implement, if they implemented it correctly we would not have had this problem, but the only reason that telkom did this is that they do not have the bandwidth that they claim. DAMM when can we expect world class service, CAN WE PLEASE GET ANOTHER TELECOMMINCATIONS OPERATOR in the country!!!!. I would liek to see a AT&T, CABLE & Wireless, BT .. in this country, they would be able to give us the service that we require. Does anybody agree ?
