Telkom's future at stake

I notice a lot of useless posts here, as usual. Without seeing the dossier how is it possible to have an opinion?

The overwhelming majority of Telkom employees are honest, hardworking individuals; just like you and me.

99,8% of them have no influence at all in the matters under review.

Unfortunately there are always a few that don't fit this profile.

I have a lot of respect for Telkom employees that actually make things happen. In my work I often get see places with massive organizational challenges by I am always surprised by a couple of people who really make things happen. I can pick up a Telkom phone and still get a connection and that is the result of blood sweat and tears by honest hard working employees.

The fact of the matter is that a organization needs good leadership, and without good leadership the employees' good work often gets overshadowed -and this is probably the exact reason why CWU spoke out. Telkom lacks strategic direction. Without decent strategic direction they make blunders like Multilinks and TelkomMedia. Without decent strategic direction they are play a defensive role in the markets they have monopolies, instead of playing an offensive innovative role.

They also put their workers at a disadvantage - which are unable to deliver mostly due lack of strategic leadership. To actually deliver special things in an organization like Telkom requires magicians.

And it is not if management does not have a couple of smart people. But a few bad apples and too many special interest at management level is just destroying Telkom. The only way to fix it is to shine a light into the dark places.

And what good arises from those good people who toil for a corrupt monopoly? Come on, we all know, and have for a long time known, Telkom is shafting both it's employees and customers with a a proverbial phallus up our butts big enough to make yesterdays lunch come out of your mouth. Sorry if am being useless and understating...

And its true, Sure ofc there are some Fantastic PEOPLE that work at telkom i am sure.. But those said people do not control what happens, its the corrupted people who have the say and thats why everyone apart from maybe 2 people hates telkom, Most of us do not hate each individual person working there, we hate the company and how it's run, making us hate the people in charge " the corrupted" people
