Telkom's PR disaster

Damn. Transparency people. If you are transparent, then there can be no fraud and no allegations.
I really am not looking forward to losing yet another profitable company to corruption.

MTN -- BEE

BEE deals seem to be the underlying cause of corruption in most cases.

There is a -- BIG -- MTN deal on the horizon.

NEWSHELF

I do not understand all the "techo-speak" but it has a bit of the ring of "Money-for-Jam"

Maybe MTN have very good "spindoctors" -- they have the right drum to beat ( and the right drummers ) :D

are we really so surprised that Telkom's unchecked greed has putrefied and corrupted the company from within? No, not me.

Telkom Mentality: Screw the PR, we have the lawyers to cover it.

"It looks like soon, someone is going to fall on his sword at Telkom."

Never ! It will go on ad finite um until one day they will all wake up to nothing and ask "Eish ! Were is all the money gone ??"

Does a PR disaster for Telkom even matter anymore? Are there any important groups that still have any regard for Telkom?

Technically inclined people got sick of Telkom a long time ago, the financial market lost all interest after they decided to sell Vodacom.... is there anyone left who cares?

As an experienced PR exec, I can say that PR is the business of packaging. If there's no content, then you can't package hot air. Similarly, if the business is rotten, you can't dress it differently. I can't say how rotten Telkom may or may not be, but it must come clean and fast. That's the only way to maintain credibility. Otherwise, you (the PR) equally become tainted. And who would trust you then?
