Is anyone else missing their daily cap usage reports from telkomsa? I have mine set to send me an update every day but this week I haven't received any and they are not sitting in my spam trap.....

I logged in to check my usage and my "mail reports" details are correct. Wierd!

Its sporadic, you never get it everyday even if you request it. I think on average you may get it about 7 days in a month

I have also not received any since they had an issue on Saturday with their capping system not working. Although they seem to have quickly corrected the capping issue there is most likely still a problem with their data usage measurement.

My experience over the past few years is that I generally receive an email notification at least 25 days of the month - the first day or two sometimes not and then frequently the last day (although I am always capped by then)

Just did a filter on my inbox..... Friday morning was the last time I got as well.... sigh.... something so simple but they just can't get it right 31 days a month!

+1

I received a mail last week from them saying that they will be doing maintenance from Friday night until Monday morning. After not receiving it by yesterday I phoned them and apparently the maintenance is taking longer then expected and it will be fixed shortly.

Telkom told my GF yesterday that they are having problems... all over apparently.

So this could be why the e-mails are not coming.

yeah the maintenance is apparently impacting:

- TopUp
- New registrations / Cancellations
- VOIP registrations
- E-mail notifications

etc

It sounds to me like a new billing platform

I got one this morning, but it's slightly different.

Code:
ADSL usage report

Blended Usage
Total Blended Data Allocated (Default Package) - 5.00GB
     Total TopUp Purchased - 0.00GB
Total Blended Data Exceeding Cap - 0Bytes or [0.00GB]
Total Blended Data (Exceeding Cap + TopUp Included) - 5.00GB
     Uploaded - 109MB or [0.10GB]
 Downloaded - 1.90GB
 Combined Total Used - 2.01GB
 Percentage Used - 40.26%
 Remaining Blended Data - 2.98GB
 Status - Not Capped

Local Usage
Total Local Data Allocated (Default Package) - 30.00GB
 Uploaded - 588MB or [0.57GB]
 Downloaded - 29.13GB
 Combined Total Used - 29.71GB
 Percentage Used - 99.03%
 Remaining Local Data - 295.83MB or [0.28GB]
Status - You have not exceeded your package's default allocated local data.

Why would they mention "Total Blended Data Exceeding Cap"? Are they reminding us that we're getting more than we're paying for, or are they going to deduct the excess usage from next months allocation? Wait and see next month, I guess.

PLease remember this is Telkom they are going to bill us for the exceeded cap no doubt...

This may be a bit of topic but how did you use your local before your blended?

I suspect that they have made the change to bring the usage notifications in line with their current practice of no longer allowing a joint threshold.

I would be surprised if they start deducting excess blended usage from the next month as such usage is totally outside the customers control and if it occurs would be as a result of their systems not working efficiently.
