The judge made a mess of the situation as well. This should not have went that far. It was a simple question that the advocate didn't have an answer for, and the court should have moved on from there instead of causing an uproar. The language of the advocate was uncalled for, but the judge can't refuse an advocate a right to present his case in court. I doubt the advocate will be reported to the bar, or the judge to the JSC, because both of them are guilty.

Accusing an advocate of incompetence based on his race is not taking anything out of context. Racism is a sickness that needs to be flushed out of the society, so don't expect me to sit by and let it be like the mods are doing.

I dont care what race he is, I care about his blatant disrespect for the Judge. Whether he was right or wrong these is a way to address a Judge ion his courtroom

I think the advocate was just frustrated, after all I doubt there is any lawyer in the world who would have expected that judgement. It's not only setting the precedence but it bring with it so many problems in other areas of the law. For istance, If Mdhluli gets charged now then the first thing he will do is claim that the prosecution is malicious because both the police and NPA decided not to charge him in the first place, and that on its own will go on for years. This one is going straight to the constitutional court multiple times. The advocate must be regretting his actions, but I can tell you that the judge won't get off the hook as well. As a judge you are not supposed to be adjourning the court for such a small issue, and bringing the court into disrepute as a result. (Not suggesting the judge brought the court into disrepute, but the reputation of the court has been damaged regardless of who is wrong). Now the judge will be accused of bias if he refuses to grant the application for appeal, and his own reputation will be in serious jeopardy. He might even be requested to recuse himself, but they already did that before the actual case started. So in a way the advocate will feel justified. This is a mess.

OFFS, get a bl@@dy life already. Do you for one moment think the arrogant prick of an advocate was that disrespectful at the judge for fun? He refused to answer an fair question and the judge must have hit a serious nerve. I smell a racist advocate that had an agenda and nothing else. He did it deliberately to bring on the dispute.

You should also repent for bringing Jesus in disrepute over trivial matters. Seems to me You do not know the place or the time to spread the good word so you rather troll forums instead. I do not see preachers trolling this forum so there must be a reason for it! ;)

You sound to much like a certain reverent that used to engage in politics.

The problem with being a racist is that you start thinking that other people are racist, while you completely ignore the merits of the case. The advocate didn't have an answer for the judge, but he used wrong language to indicate as such. The judge reacted on the language used in the heat of the moment. Both of them made a meal out of nothing, and they are both regretting it now I think. That doesn't mean people are racist just because we have a black advocate and a white judge. It happens with white advocates against white judges. In fact a look at the complaints made at the bar or JSC indicate that this is very normal, except that in this case there were cameras rolling.

As i said, racism is a symptom. But to treat it you need to deal with the cause - the fact that you are born in sin, and you can't help yourself but hate those who don't look like you. It's normal, 7 billion people suffer from the same problem. And there is a solution: Jesus Christ.

The problem with people who make racist comments, thereby are racist, is that they hide under their usernames. They say things that they wouldn't otherwise say in public where their identity can be revealed. For instance, what you just said in Afrikaans, that 'I will always remain a stupid idiot" you will never repeat at your workplace in the hearing of people. That means that you know that what you are doing is wrong and sinful but you still continue in it. But like I said, it's not your fault, you can't help yourself.

The problem with religious bigots is they feel the need to spout their religious rhetoric to everyone and make everything about religion. People like you are one of the reasons why I left religion behind. So why don't you just stop trolling and **** off.
