Terminator: Dark Fate

I watched it this weekend.
Not as bad as I thought.
Better than some previous installments

Feminists: "We want more female directed movies with female actresses starring in lead roles."
Hollywood: *makes said movies* "Will you give us money now?"
Feminists: "No, we don't like those."

Its such a joke. They whine about representation in movies, and then when they get it, nobody is willing to spend money to see it. Typical SJWs. Like to complain about everything but offer no solutions to any problems. Not willing to spend any of their hard earned cash on movies made explicitly for them. Movies made for traditional audiences like Joker make a billion dollars without even trying.

Then she says crap like this:

Prior to the movie’s disastrous opening weekend, Banks gave an interview to the Herald Sun that is now proving to be somewhat controversial. The filmmaker, who also wrote and produced “Charlie’s Angels” and stars in the movie as Bosley, called out a potential box office bomb as being sexist. “Look, people have to buy tickets to this movie, too. This movie has to make money,” she said. “If this movie doesn’t make money it reinforces a stereotype in Hollywood that men don’t go see women do action movies.”

If I remember correctly the previous Charlies Angels movies did pretty well at the box office. So she obviously just made a bad movie.

Plus the leads in this Charlies Angels reboot do not appeal in any way, they are not star material, unlike the previous trio of Diaz, Liu and Barrymore.

Apparently its because they didn't want to spend the money on stars because they were worried about not making their money back - good choice in hindsight.

She also said something like, its a feminist movie and its not made for men. But then also says that men need to see it because reasons.

The best movies are those that you want to see because they are good movies, regardless of their politics. Nobody ever said, go watch Alien, it has a female lead. Nobody ever said watch Bad Boys because it has black action heroes starring in it. Nobody ever said watch the new James Bond movies because James Bond finally has a female boss.

They were just good movies, you didn't need a reason to see them.

Yeah bad move. Those 3 don't look like stars and don't look like they gel either.

Wow, just sad really.

I don't remember them too well but I actually enjoyed the previous Charlies Angels movies. Yes they were female leads, but like you say, who gives a crap if it's a good movie.

She's talking kak. Men are not interested in leftist lesbian feminist bullshte. They want some sexploitation with their popcorn and coke.

Cameron Diaz used to give me boner, Kirsten Stewart makes me limp.

It's as simple as that.

Was a boom boom cringe fest and apparently the american military are idiots and are completely unaware of previous incedents.... and just go along with random events and then completely forget about them with no once double checking anything.

Look I know military organization/bureaucracy can be bad but they been at this too long to be THAT bad.

As for the movie - hell yeah, plenty wrong with it but it had Arnie in it, sometimes that's enough.
Not this time.
His character is almost a parody of Terminators.
Actually expected to see the SNL crew make an appearance.

And Sara Cona will make a good match for Luke Skywalker - grumpy, bickering golden oldies.

Cool. Watched in the bioscope though.

Watched it a 2nd time (720p home copy) & I think it gets a slightly unfair slog. Some elements was definitely improved vs the last 3 (simplified narrative, Linda + Arnie, always a lover of the score, action scenes).

At the same negatives. 2 biggest for is the 4mins into the film death + casting besides the main 2 leads.

Wanted to watch it, but couldn`t.

First few minutes killed it for me.

Yes Hollywood, we know you hate cops.

Stopped and watched something else. Watched Dark city.
