'Terra Nova' Cancelled

I was just thinking of watching it - luckily no bandwith lost :D
 
Agreed....plot was weak, acting horrendous. Another one of the many bad choices by DSTV.
 
It was a load of crap. They spent all the money on sh*tty CGI and then had nothing left to pay for proper actors. NOTHING could save this abortion. If you roll a turd in gold sprinkles, it is still a turd underneath.
 
Wasn't enjoying this show. A poor version of Lost with Dinosaurs...
 
Not really gonna miss this..

Was a fun diversion for a few hours, but its not a series I got hooked on at all.

I think it's just a different target audience. Terra Nova and Falling Skies are both aimed at teenagers as far as I can tell. They are not adult series and things we laugh at or think are stupid, like huge gaping holes in the plot, bad acting and scripts are not as damning for teenagers who identify with the teenage heroes and first love and dating issues, being rebellious, and tough loving parents, etc

I suppose you hit the nail on the head there, it is aimed at teenagers hence the terrible plot and story. It all looked so good in episode one and from there it all just went downhill very quickly. It is now episode 5 or something and they have already amassed a bit of a body count - how the hell does such a small community survive if people are dying so regularly? Maybe they have some tech that allows them to respawn...

In a way I agree with you, but if it is aimed at teenagers then why budget so much? Shows that are successful appeal to a wide range of people, and because of that more people watch it. Teenagers make up a small percentage of the overall viewing audience, so a big budget show aimed at them is doomed to fail.
 
3 episodes in.....time to SHIFT+DELETE. No need to watch any further. Another good series that bit the dust was Surface. It was canned too soon :( watched all the episodes that were available.
 
Seems the bs shows keep getting renewed and anything sci-fi gets cancelled ........ mainstream loving idiots with no brain power further than emo win the day again.

Nah this was crap man, it could have been great but it was badly made. Hopefully somebody else picks it up and addresses all the shortcomings.
 
I liked it, its better than a lot of other shows out there, even if not as awesome as it could have been.
 
I saw one and a half episodes but the writing was too poor. I'm a sci-fi fan but you have to have a solid story behind the science, a "human" element...

No no...anything sci-fi THAT IS CRAP gets cancelled. Terra Nova did not get cancelled 'cos it is/was sci-fi...it was just utter rubbish. There hasn't been any good sci-fi on tv for many years...if ever. Third Rock from the Sun was perhaps the closest...hehehe.
