Anyone else experiencing this? Has been less then perfect for a while now, but is particularly bad tonight...

Not that I can get through to a BLOODY SINGLE PERSON IN THE CALL CENTRE!!!

I did manage to get through eventually last night, the guy I spoke to was very helpful... he suggested I change profiles, which didn't help. I didn't phone back after, I was tired and frustrated. My latency has really been terrible for the last week, was worst last night, almost as bad today. I only use my HSDPA for gaming, and its always worked fine. My 600-800ms latency has now become 3000-5000ms latency, with what seems to be a lot of packet loss... very frustrating.

Phoned again now because the problem is persisting. Using the Vodacom speed test I get 363kbps down and 54kbps up, which is absurdly low. The modem doesn't seem to be switching down to GPRS at all. Guy at the call centre suggested that I take my data card in to be tested... bit of a pain, going to test with my neighbour's card tonight, but I doubt thats the problem after seeing complaints about speeds last night in the speed test thread.

I've also noticed a loss of signal strength in Fourways. I have an external hi-gain 3G antenna which normally gives 5 bars, but now only 1 or 2.

The speed test V3G suggests gives 368 kbps down and 58 kbps down - really poor for HSDPA!

I have the same experience of calling 155 for help - they continually suggest the same worn-out "remedies" that don't work. I've been asked to delete the profile so many times I can't count.

Can they not just tell us if there is a fault in the area?
