Terrible Web Development Practices - Need help with this

Secure code is "hard" in the beginning and soon after becomes a)pride and b)habitual. It's supposed to be standard practice and standard to absolutely any SQL queries (and actually all forms too).

lol mate, you found the words I've been looking for all day. Specially having pride in ones work, tends to be the driving force to better oneself constantly.
 
Well I believe that web development companies should be concerned with customer requirements, proper development without security loop holes. For that validation and Sanitization should be thoroughly implemented.
