Texo is great.

yep, sites are all down.
The downtime has become a little worrying of late.:(
I monitored the server a few months ago and it was about 98%. Rather good, but not the best. It's rather inconvenient staring at a 404 error when you are in a meeting and need to access a site to show your point
Downtime from viewing my logs can be up to 40 minutes.
Hope it doesn't exceed 98%, else things get a bit wonky!

How'z the steve cloning machine coming on?:)

Hello JJRM and eitai2001
Our number is 021 782 3401
One of our shared servers (apollo) is down because of a hardware failure. I don't have an ETA on when apollo will be up, but please be assured that we are working very hard to get the server up. I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. I'm feeling the pain as well.

Hello ant101

My clone isn't ready yet :) but two more staff members have gone a long way to improve our customer service. Unfortunately our new shared hosting server (which went online this past weekend) has seen three hardware failures in a row. This is an unbelievably unfortunate series of events, especially since we only use the best server-grade components available.

Thanks for update Steve. Do you have Skype or MSN so we can communicate in future in the even something like this happens again?

It broke down slowly last night :p ... first I was getting error handlers and could even access Texo, but it failed when I tried to submit a ticket.
Then 30mins later I was getting Error 500 Server side something. Then this morning it was dead.

Just out of curiosity ... why would it slowly break down like that and not just one shot? Or did you have to switch it off to fix which would make more sense to me :p

I must commend the Texo team, they have been amazingly helpful since I have moved to them.

Just a pity about the downtime, I heard the stress in Gaye's voice when I phoned.
For those without twitter, latest updates:

My site is up, but still waiting for pdo_mysql.

Lucky for me I get my emails handled through gmail so I was fine in that regard.

I'm down, as are all my clients. No e-mail too. When it was working, was same as eitai2001, waiting for pdo_mysql. Clients magento went *poof*.

yup. I've actually switched off my pricecheck for now ... no sense in wasting money.

You guys should seriously look at using gmail as your email provider ... it is amazing, and when the server goes down ... my email stays running. Plus I have 7gb of storage.

All you do is your point your DNS mx records to the gmail once you've registered ... and get your CNAME mail.domain.com to point to gmail.
