TEXO.co.za

I can't blame them ... who knows what sales I lost today because they site is down. And it decredits my name because people will think its dodge that my site was down and may not trust me again.

Upside - its a hardware problem.

I was with WebAfrica and they got hacked last month.
Went into Magento admin for client, and I got lovely black screen saying the turkish hacker had been there. Took down about 10 - 15 site hosted on WA.

Thank god caught it quick and reverted before anyone noticed.

My mail just received without an issue, just one problem, there was no mail, and I'm sure that can't be right.

Back on my old site, my forum was hacked by a turkish hacker. Bastards :p

Ok ... server is back up for me, but still don't have pdo and pdo_mysql installed which I need for Magento to run.

Wonder why lazygamer is still working ... are they on a separate server?

ya they are. do a reverse ip lookup, found that out when I was curious as to how many sites were down.

I think maybe I should go for managed server. It costs like 500 or something per month ... and it also tends to be faster, especially for magento which is good in the long run.

my cpanel working and like a bomb it is nice and fast

lucky. This is what I get through all mine:

The server was not able to find the document (./frontend/x3/index.html) you requested.
Please check the url and try again. You might also want to report this
error to your web hosting provider.

For those using zencart, just came across an update.
Hi,

A vulnerability has been discovered in the admin section of v1.3.8 (and previous versions). To take advantage of this vulnerability any attacker must know the URL of your admin section. As our security recommendations point out, you should change the folder that your admin resides in as soon as you installed Zen Cart.

It can happen for pretty much anything, as the base of most online apps admin is /admin.
I'm in the process of changing all admin user names, from admin, to something else. I used something else, can't remember what, that actually MADE you rename the admin folder before you could do anything.

Mail not working still. No incoming, can't send. Website seems up. Haven't tried cpanel. Just wish mail would work so I can give my customer's some good news.
