I've been playing around with the free version of this : https://www.phraseexpress.com/
Works well enough but I'm wondering what else people use and any novel usage scenarios?

They do save a sht load of time, especially if you need to do any kind of support or end user interactions where being able to quickly insert common words/sentences and numbers is a massive time saver.

One thing that does bug me is security, these things work best when they can monitor your typing, that leaves you a bit exposed for keyloggers and other forms of surveillance.

Nope. I won't ever use a text expander. I'm not a robot and my customers should be aware of that too.

I hate copy and paste responses and talking to a bot. If I have business communication and someone copy and paste words in that personal communication, they can fk themselves.
Signing off communication with a standard response is not an issue.

I don't do business with A.I.

To write a Novel you'd be better at using something like Scrivener, Jotterpad and Grammarly.

You can use it like a robot or use it like an intelligent human to quickly insert phone numbers, addresses, codes, whatever - how you use it is up to you but don't throw the baby out with the bathwater..

Sure thing. Only your opinion counts.
