I recommended one to a colleague, it was ordered on Thursday, and it was delivered Tuesday morning.

Papaerwhite I have also been eyeing a while now, but actually wish a 10" Mobius device that was good for PDF's and ebooks was available, at a reasonable price of course ;)
 
I have a paperwhite really like it had a Kindle2 and Kindle Keyboard before it....

I got the paperwhite :D
It's a great little device.

Much faster than my last kindle (page turns to typing to whatever).

The light was a little disconcerting at first but I just tend to leave it at 10 (out of 24) now and helps plenty when it comes to reading at night (shadows and such do not get in the way and makes the screen look whiter).

No comment on battery life as yet but I expect it will last as well as my old one did.

The time at the bottom (time to complete chapter) seems to have me subconsciously racing through books.
Started using it on Saturday, mid morning, am now about 25% through Equal Rites and finished the colour of magic and the light fantastic.
 
Another thing to note, they paid me back for the postage.

you misunderstand.

They sent me the new kindle with no charges at all besides me having to send the old one back.
They then refunded me for the cost of sending the old one back.
