As most of you know, including MWEB. I am the first person to complain when things don't work correctly. I am extremely unforgiving with regards to not getting what I paid for.

However I also believe giving credit where it is due, as a result THANK YOU MWEB for getting us additional bandwidth so that we can use our accounts as normal during this time of Seacom being down.

PS for the first time in 4 weeks I have no issues at all, no web page time outs etc nothing. Hope this will continue when Seacom comes back on line.

Thanks and regards

Linoman

I have to disagree slightly. Given that SEACOM terrestrial link and the SEA-ME-WE-4 cable have together been down multiple times in the last 2 months, I would expect that backup plans would have been in place, and not taken 3 days to organise.

I do grant that the World Cup has restricted bandwidth that would otherwise be available, and that MWeb is fairly new at running its own first-tier network...

I think M-Web is doing a good job. I was almost expecting 6 to 10 days of downtime... it's not all M-Web's fault that SEACOM is crap.

Great advertising for MWEB. I switched this morning from Afrihost.

I am happy. Nothing beats R220 uncapped. So there are problems. There are always problems and if I wanted a reliable connection there are those available that will cost the requisite amount.

Dealt with Mweb RE account stuff yesterday, helpful and very much on the ball.

Well done indeed. There were lots of behind the scenes negotiations, and they have done well to ensure they get additional international bandwidth.

Thanks for all the support. We have noted all the comments and will improve the service and cut over procedures

mweb - you will be seing my money next month.

cheers

All international works great but its a Saturday, surely I should be unshaped and not getting 18kb/s on torrents. I have a 2 meg line and even if you shape it down to 100 im still happy. Come on MWEB, I dont doo 100+ gigs a month so give a brother a break and when he does download something, let it fly.

Well MWEB I shall be sticking with you next month, if you guys can keep this up. PS HTTP downloads running at full speed again (multi-threaded) and Youtube is a bit of a hit and miss affair but that is fine.

Have to say, I never "liked" MWeb and their marketing methods, etc, but when it comes to connectivity and bandwidth, they RULE the roost!
