I just want to thank all of you ex-MyWi Classic users for leaving. Seeing that I'm now officially the only customer that Sentech has got left I'm getting fantastic service. The Sentech support team are now extremely eager to keep me, their sole customer, very happy. In fact, they have now made a habit of phoning me every five minutes to make sure that all is still well and if there's anything that they can help me with. I feel very special now.

What's more, my connection has been FLYING the last few weeks. In fact, my eMule has been sitting pegged at a steady 13kB/s since I connected 3 days ago. In that period I've downloaded just under 3 GB from eMule alone. And that's on a MyWi 128k connection!

So once again my sincerest of thanks to all of you for going away. Let's keep it that way. I'm very happy here all on my own.

Bye. :p

Cant wait for my 1024 ADSL

I've been getting great speeds on 256 (over 30kB/s). I've managed to use over 50GB this month. Seeing as my account will be cancelled after today, I decided to try and download anything I thought I might need/want in the near future. Oh well, guess it's off to ADSL and having to get used to monitoring my usage :)

What you guys don't realise is that yes, your speeds are up, and at the bargain price of just R 1000 per gig over your cap, you're getting great service!

make that 3 customers... my 128 is also motoring along and I have had very few disconnects too, even tower 12 has been behaving itself. Lemme see, I need to DL 2G before 12 tonight.... hmmmmmm

this is why the service will be even faster after 12am tonight,

what i want to know from the classic users, with just over 6 hours remaining, what are u frantically trying to download as the final hours looms.

I am downloading an old classic.

SimCity 4, rush hour

with 6 hours and 30 min, the ETA on the torrent is 6 H 35 min. I added the torrent this morning at 10am. It is a 1.09Gig and i am @ 51.4 %

With everyone downloading franctically (including me) until the very last minute, I am surprised at the network throughput!

Maybe some ( or lots) of Sentech staff have terminated because there won't be many users to IGNORE anymore - And they were consuming the bandwidth?

NoWire clients havent received any notification, be it verbal or written, so we've still got the full cap. Its going to be interesting to see if speeds actually change after tonight.

party is over, my download was @ 98.5 %, i will finish the rest on my data bundle on mtn, some 25 MB.

Sorry StrongTurd

:D Sorry buddy, at 5:15 this morn it appears that there are actually still TWO NoWire users! I am still, seemingly, on my "old" 128 Classic contract.

I must agree with you on one thing. October was the first month ever where my download speeds remained unchanged after the 20th. Yesterday I was still downloading at a fairly stable 12-14 kBs through DAP. THE FIRST TIME EVER AFTER THE 20TH.

So everyone, sorry to see you go, but thanks for the fish! May the force be with you!!

I'm still connected - despite getting the call and the email about having "chosen" to cancel my service.......................

Wonder how long it will take them to figure out that they haven't disconnected me................

Naah...still on the Classic package

Have moved across to ADSL 512 with IS and must say the local browsing is noticably faster - can believe how much faster images load (was using a local only guest account). Tried some overseas downloads and these are seriously slow in comparison in the past few months I was getting an average of 50KB with direct downloads and these are now at 5KB. Oh well win some, lose some although I signed up for a monthly package this time to see which ISP to choose so I can cencel at any time.

Enjoy ...
