Because corporate fat casts insist of sticking with a pricing model that no longer fits the current digital landscape. Why would I buy you if I could have you for next to nothing? Change your strategy or compete, and in this case the guy who has been running the business is obviously doing rather well. Although buying pirated goods should not be done over downloading if you can do so. Free vs. Pay I know what i pick

Some people are collectors and prefer having the original; supporting the developers that they appreciate. All my games are bought. I'll admit, I occasionally download ones I'm curious about via torrents first and if I enjoy them, I buy them. Games that I'm excited as heck about, I buy at release. People that buy pirated games/software should be shot along with people that produce it for sales. Each to their own though.

From my understanding, publishers walk off with more money than the developers do at the end of the day. When you pirate a game you hurt the devs a lot more than the publishers.

Same here, I have no problem with people sharing/downloading software or music/movies amongst themselves but those who buy pirated goods are not only ripping off developers but themselves as well, the only ones who will benefit are the ones selling the pirated goods.

So what happens when you buy say CoD4 from these guys and you can't connect to any official servers?
Do their games come with "Warning multiplayer online gaming doesn't work" labels or do they just not sell any of those types of games.

Yeah there hasn't been a cool anime based mainstream mecha game like Shogo MAD (Riot) since Shogo MAD . There have been a few macross/robotech games - never playe'd em tho.

incidentally we actually don't pay allot for games locally (PC games that is console are another story I suppose). R299 is less than the $50~$60 games in the U.S and U.K and that's because our games locally come in as literature and are subject to the same taxes as books and such which is next to nothing.

I know, every game comes with a crack. Im surprised no one has reported them. At least their games are cheap though.

R150 ... Cheap? There are 2 other sites just like that here in SA. The one is cheaper than that as far as I can remember...
