The 200,000+ km thread

My 1400 Uno speedo cable broke the other day and currently sitting at 438000km.

I want to replace it but with the Lockdown spares shops around me are closed.

I need to post mine, I used to drive a nissan sentra before it was written off idiot skipped a robot had 450k on the clock, currently driving an opel corsa with +250k on the clock and going well :) killing my bond at the moment not worrying about a car

I had a 1985 Kadett with a Superboss engine in, was redone and drove it to 215 000 when I finaly sold it to a guy who wrote it off within 2 weeks.
12 years ago I bought a 16v GSI that had a gas flowed head and Shrik cams. Was scary quick. Being a 38 year old going through my 2nd childhood I enjoyed it for a year or so but eventually sold it.the people that bought it were going to give it to their son for passing matric. I told them this car was a bad idea for an 18 year old. But they insisted their son was responsible. Wonder how that turned out.

How did the car get into the restaurant?
It was in the parking lot. The section that is on the roof blew off into the car..........oh you joking, excuse my dry British hour.

Well the Old Lady ML will not see 300k km under my watch.
Sold her to WeBuyCars on Tuesday... 289k km.

Not so much interested in how much, but did they give you what you wanted for it?

Never though I'd make it, but here I am, Joining the 200000 km club here with the Picanto.
Either it runs perfectly , or is an endless source of problems, 3rd lockset on it, services ect.

Running okayish for the time being, except for a hesitation when accelerating sometimes.
Coils? Ignition leads? Not sure.

Ja, pretty much.

I bought it for 52k in 2013, sold it for 30k
Nice, what mileage did you put on it during that time and apart from normal service costs did you need to spend anything else?

Put on about 30k I guess.
I did spend some money - new radiator and hoses, thermostat and water pump, shocks, couple of oil leaks... Did all the work myself though

Interesting, would have thought that of a Gelandewagen, not an M class (Yengenimobile)
