Never thought I would ever own a car that has more than 100,000km on the clock but a few days ago my 2001 Astra reached 200,000km. I know there are a few other folks here that have high mileage runners in daily use and though it would be nice to have a show and tell thread. So lets see those long distance runners ;)

I'll start off with mine : 2001 Astra CS 1.6 16v, bought it used in 2004 with 30,000km on the clock.

Sold my '99 Astra 160i Euro in 2010 with 336,000km on the clock, still on the original clutch too :D

I bought it 2nd-hand in 2002 at 64,000km. Loved that car

My 99 Astra 1.6i cs is currently just over 250,000km. Bought used in 2008 at about 104,000km. Commute from Pta to East rand really adds up :)

had 1996 Citi Golf that clicked over 5 times... ODO only went to 99 999.... so was over 500000kms when it dissappeared on us one day. Still had most original stuff (was mainly highway driving), engine done once about half way through.
had to keep record of previous annual license forms, to see what previous year's kilos were, if it clicked over...
of course by the end the steering was starting to be a little loose... so steering was a full time job :)
it was good to have a car that cost almost nothing to own... no more bank payments, very little maintenance, low insurance (only 3rd party, no theft cover, coz annual insurance premium would've been more than car is worth :) )
but still felt safe to let wife & kids drive it.
so it was big adjustment to buy new car with expensive monthly payments

Hubby drives alottttt he had
1. 1992 Golf 2 over 200,000km sold it in 2006
2. 1994 Jetta 2 over 300,000km when it was sold in 2008
3. 1998 Jetta 3 just over 200,000km when he sold it last year.

As a child we had a 197?, not sure what year Peugeot 504 bought new when it was sold in 1998 it had over 400,000km on it. Engine was redone once. However that thing worked hard, towed a caravan + trailer 1,000 of km no issues.

1992 Toyota Corolla GLX Auto, over around 300 000km, never missed a beat

2003 Toyota RunX RSi, just approaching 200 000km now

Had various other cars, including 3 BMW's that did around 300 000km with no problems also

Only vehicle that gave me endless hassles was the VW that I owned.lol
