Starts this coming Friday and there should be added interest with it happening during a World Cup year. Cracker to kick us off on Friday evening with France vs Wales

This is going to be one of the most competitive tournaments that we've seen in a long time. Except for the Italy games it's going to be difficult to pick weekend winners.

Our times are UK plus 2. So 10pm kickoff our time on Friday evening.

Can’t wait for this to start.

Who do you all see as favourites for the title? Can anyone see past Ireland?

Yeah, that's where the smart money is. I wonder if we'll see some left field selections though as this will be the northern hemisphere teams' last chance to check players out before the world cup since I don't think there is an inbound tour in June.

French team to face Wales and what did I say about left field picks?! Uncapped Romain Ntamack who played for the victorious French U20 side has been picked at 12 at the expense of Mathieu Bastareaud (who doesn't even crack the matchday 23) to partner Wesley Fofana. Also see that Teddy Thomas isn't in the team. Not sure if that's a selection or injury related decision.

Team: 15-Maxime Medard, 14-Damian Penaud, 13-Wesley Fofana, 12-Romain Ntamack, 11-Yoann Huget, 10-Camille Lopez, 9-Morgan Parra, 8-Louis PIcamoles, 7-Arthur Iturria, 6-Wenceslas Lauret, 5-Paul Willemse, 4-Sebastien Vahaamahina, 3-Uini Atonio, 2-Guilhem Guirado (captain), 1-Jefferson Poirot

Replacements: 16-Julien Marchand, 17-Dany Priso, 18-Demba Bamba, 19-Felix Lambey, 20-Gregory Alldritt, 21-Baptiste Serin, 22-Gael Fickou, 23-Geoffrey Doumayrou

1. Jefferson Poirot - 123 kg (6ft, 19st 6lbs)
2. Guilhem Guirado - 109 kg (5ft 11in, 17st 2lbs)
3. Uini Atonio - 152 kg (6ft 6ins, 24st 6lbs)
4. Sebastien Vahaamahina - 126kg (6ft 8in, 19st 12lbs)
5. Paul Willemse - 135 kg (6ft 7ins, 21st 4lbs)
6. Wenceslas Lauret - 103 kg (6ft 2ins, 16st 2lbs)
7. Arthur Itturia - 107 kg (6ft 6ins, 17st 6lbs)

Scotland looking comfortable. Should be a canter unless the brain farts of old creep in.

But hey, I never knew John Allan was Tommy Allan’s uncle.
