Hi

Cape Town Foreshore - getting 619's and ZERO connection for past 30 minutes - am i alone ?

I'm struggling extremely to connect in JoBurg for the past 30 mins so as well. Did get connected a little while ago though, but the 619 has returned again now.

Vodacom have confirmed that there is a problem, they are working on it

Good to know, be nice if they would inform of of these problems via SMS in the dash - aside form being in the know - it would represent a good level of cutomer service.

It is highly unlikely that they would acknowledge there faults thou'

Yes, will give feedback as soon as I have more info. I'm with engineering at the moment.

Seems you can connect after a few retries, took me about 8 retries to connect in Midrand. So far stable, not getting disconnects.

I suspect it's got something to do with registering you on the network.

What happened...again?

why is vodacom's internt down again? Is it only in the knysna region or is it all over the country? It makes me really angry when the internet goes down. They charge us a fortune for internet and then when you want to use it, its down. Just in time for mnp as well...

Cheers 3g - managed to get a connect after the third try - first time this morning - holding steady and good speed.

* Been connected for 45 minutes - no disconnects.

Glad they're working on it, still seems to be on the blink in Randburg JHB though.

i am not even surprised... and virgin internet is slow as hell.... at this rate MTN stands to gain most from MNP.... OR DO THEY ALSO HAVE INTERNET DOWN AT THE MO???

Its up and running again - very strange it went down at exactly 12 midnight last night, disconnected me and then 619's after that.

Me thinks some one tried something new!

any news .. still struggling in Plumstead, Cape Town .. hope I stay online long enough to send this message :)

Glad I'm not the only one tearing my hair out in Plumstead - the help desk told me it was my card that was faulty!

I'm also hoping I cen get this post through - I'm having hte same problem that we had a while ago, viz. get a connection, send an email or two and then suddenly all data transfer stops. The help desk doesn't seem to be able to assist or to recognise that there is a problem in this area.

Thanks
Slak

 I could not connect the entire day at work location.
At home I have one red flashing led on my quad lite card  So I guess I'm on gprs (although it connects @ 384K)
Most frustrating.
Tried switching/renewing profiles with no luck.
Connections problems started on Monday sometime after 1:30PM
Using a desktop pc at work and laptop at home, so I think it's not my setup, cause there are problems on both environments.
V3G if you can come to the rescue here, that would be great. ;)
