So, when Temple of Love came out as a single in the early 80s , try as I might I couldn't get hands on a copy locally... but... My sister was travelling to the UK and I asked her to get me the single when she was there. She popped into HMV and told them my tale of woe but they didn't have any in stock either... HMV contacted the band management who in turn got hold of my sister. She was invited to a gig, met the band back-stage and got the single for free. She hated the concert 'cos she was listening to bands like Wham and Culture Club and, thirty years later, I'm still pissed I missed out... Still have that single.
