I’m so happy that I finally found a forum about AirTies!

I started out with 2x 4930 and love them!! Now all of a sudden I cannot find ANY 4930’s (does anyone know why?)

I bought a 2 pack (4920’s) from Amazon and I’m not quite liking them as much. One of them is actually still sealed in the box.

I needed to extend my mesh and seeing as I couldn’t get any 4930’s I settled for the 4920’s

The one 4920 is connected to one of the 4930’s and I can see it as a device on this node. I’m not sure if this is the correct way or if I need to do something else?

If it is a firmware issue I would also kindly request for it to be shared with me

I’m also happy to exchange my 2x4920 for 2x4930’s if anyone is interested?

Also, I only seem to have a 2.4 connection with the 4920 and no 5G and it is connected at 144mbs only

I will appreciate any and all help!!

How did you add the 4920s to the 4930 mesh? Cable / WPS?

It sounds like the 4920 has been added as an extender not as an access point (if you navigate to the 4920's web portal what does the setup look like?)
 
Hi The firmware on the 4920 has to be updated to match the 4930
 
If you need firmware, Nology is quite helpful. Based in Pretoria but they can help on telecon or probably online.

You are correct. It is added as an extender via WPS.

I had problems making it an AP. My sonoff smart devices kept falling off the network when it was an AP.

Again, maybe I did something wrong...

If I reset the device and connect it to the one 4930 that is connected to my router will it transfer the details and make it an AP?

You won't get answers from nology as they no longer deal with airties

It should yes... but make sure its on the latest fw version first. I'll dog around and see if I still have 4920 updated firmware...send me a pm with your email and I'll share a gdrive link

Its possible they may have been discontinued... even checked Eye Networks which was a huge user of it in the EU and they have taken down official support.... now they list Zxyel and Eero as their wifi products

I introduce myself first. My name is Cvetko I live in Slovenia / EU.
In fact, this is the only forum I have found on the topic of airties.

I need help and I am really asking if anyone can help me.

I bought five airtises on ebay.
Airties I think were from a provider from Denmark - the Netherlands.
(Airties 4920 WAOO)

But I live in Slovenia. !!
Of course, I figured everything would work fine.

And three airties work perfectly normally in the mesh. But I basically have two more who don't want to connect in mesh.


And I ask you if you can advise me how to connect them in the same mesh.

Three have fw 1.33.10.18.1545 and work without a problem.

Two have fw 3.112.14.2.5337 (it seems that they have been automatically updated in the meantime)

However, I still can't connect them to the existing mesh (1.33.10.18.1545)

Is there even an option to connect them to an existing mesh?
Otherwise they are useless.

Is it possible in any way to upgrade them all with new firmware?

Please help. Thanks.

1. You need to update all firmware
2. @Mzezman might have some firmware

I also connected it with a cable and turned on the drink. It also doesn't connect.

I found one firmware online that is not the same as I was looking for, but I also failed to install it. When sr airties restarted the previous firmware was still installed.

What is the correct firmware installation process. ? Where to get firmware? It is even possible to install other firmware.

The mesh would probably work if it had the same firmware on all five airties.
