the hubby suspected the driver tipped the guys off how is it possible if they decided on the spur of the moment to enter Gugs, when would the driver have alerted his comrades?

No, I think that what they mean is that keeping a convict on death row for 10+ years is way more costly than just giving a convict life in a normal jail.

Death row is very labour intensive.

That's correct. A normal "life" sentence will have a cost associated equal to the accommodation cost of the detainee.

The reason it costs so much more to keep a detainee on "death row" is not the accommodation costs, but the labour costs of the appeals process, which is mandatory in the US. All those lawyers (often provided at taxpayer expense), judges, expert witnesses, lab costs etc. etc. and you could soon pay off the Namibian national debt.

The fingerprint off the dead body thing -- the process is called "superglue fuming", but you have to lift the print first. I think in ZA we have lots of experts in glue fumes.

Implying that there were no gunmen? Or that he was n kahoots with the gunmen? If yes, the search for those men should continue.

Western Cape police on Wednesday confirmed that the body of murdered British tourist Anni Dewani has been released to her family.

Dewani and her husband Shrien were hijacked in Gugulethu on Saturday night.

He was later pushed out of the vehicle but her body was found in Khayelitsha on Sunday morning.

Initial post-mortem results indicated that the 28-year-old was not sexually assaulted but died from a single gunshot wound.

A 26-year-old Khayelitsha man is set to appear in court on Thursday after being charged with murder and hijacking.

Authorities refused to confirm whether he was the driver of their shuttle.

Police spokesperson Frederick van Wyk said, “The body of the deceased was released to her family. The investigation and search for two other suspects still continues.”

I wonder how they linked the driver to the murder / hijacking (if it is him)... Maybe too many holes in story during interrogation?
