How do you know he isn't still a suspect? The investigation is at a "sensitive stage", so no information being released as yet. All speculation at the moment.

I did not say he is, or is not a suspect. Only the SAPS will know who they are investigating :)

What I questioned, is on what basis laymen here on MyBB are alleging his possible involvement.
 
if the husband is a suspect he already put doubt in everyones head by saying she wanted to go check out African Night Life or whatever, how can you dispute that statement because the person that uttered that statement is dead unless someone else involved spills the beans and fingers him.

He also has family here in SA, so he definitely know the potential risks of being out in the townships at the dead of night - Khayalitsha / Gugulethu being one of the worst in SA. Common sense anyone??? Who's more important? You newly wed wife, or a night out in the slums in the middle of the night?

I don't think it is fair blaming him. If you ever become the victim of crime, surely you would not feel happy if, instead of blaming the criminal for his terrible act, people go around blaming you for being careless ... ?

Let's put the blame where it belongs - the criminals and the government who has a constituional obligation to ensure our safety !!

yip, but if Horatio can squeeze them tight enough someone will turn states witness and finger the next one but we only speculating at this so lets see.
 
Everybody at some point in there life makes a stupid decision which has unfortunate consequences - but to die for it is a bit extreme.
 
The husband has NO MOTIVE. He is stinking rich. This is just one of those things that happens in SA.

Mzoli's is a popular nightspot in the township that many wealthy suburban people go to on weekends for a taste of local culture at its best. I have been and its a good party. Although it is not in a great area Mzolis has a good reputation and is known to be generally be safe.

I wonder if this isn't an organised hit to do with dodgy business deals.

Usually Mzoli clears at about 9pm the latest and by that time only gugulethu locals are still perambulating the place (pretty few of them too). These guys got hijacked at 11pm? clearly this has some irrelevance to Mzoli
 
Although this is a sad story, they wanted to see Africa, and "fortunately" for us, the rest of the world did too. I say fortunately, cause this country has many great opportunities which are being destroyed by this government refusing to acknowledge that crime is a problem, seems when it makes front pages of foreign news sites, there is an immediate reaction!!!
 
the husband is 'filthy rich' but does not organize a 'professional' driver via a reputable company, ie hotel etc? and is apparently in Gugulethu between 19:00 and 23:00 ??

we arent told the full story.

either this is bad reporting, or the facts are not right.
 
yeah they "should of known better" not to have travelled in a car or at night in SA, making them prime targets for Stupid criminal south africans

come to our beautiful country for a holiday, but heres a list of DONT DOs or you may be raped and murdered, maybe they should add that to the tourism boards advertising?

maybe it was a setup for what ever reason but they did not expect the fast action of the police in nabbing a suspect and now the shyte is gonna hit the grill.
