The England "tail" are scoring quite freely. They have managed to keep the rate at around 4 p/over. Such is the influence and consistency of Ali. Depth, a good bowling option and passionate player.

Current partnership 70 runs, 16.0 overs, RR: 4.37 (Ali 44, Broad 24) with Johnson getting laced for 3 fours, nogal, in the over there!

One Aussie still awake in stress or closer to the ground? Regardless, if we were in this position, I would also be shouting the odds:

hugh: "Bowl Marsh for heaven's sake."

Smith, Clarke and Marsh should try their arm for variation, although I doubt Clarke will bowl and risk injury.

Once Broad left, Ali wasn't going to hang around. Pity for him. He was looking good for more today.

Interesting:

Broad to Rogers, OUT, gets rewarded straightaway, umpire raises his finger for lbw! Angling in from outside off, Rogers was stuck on his crease to tuck the ball to the leg side but played the wrong line and was struck in front of off, though a bit high. That's what he might have discussed with Warner before walking off. Rogers did review it, but was too late and the umpire turned it down

CJL Rogers lbw b Broad 6 (13b 1x4 0x6) SR: 46.15

si: "Was Rogers hitting...would it have been a good review?" Was umpire's call

Nothing wasted then.

Very good chance of a result here then given the current match situation.

This is a miserable response from the Aussies. Incredibly disappointing. They do seem to have the same fight they showed in the second test match.

Warner gone!!

As much as I would like Australia to fight back, I'm glad Warner is gone :p

So, this match will end tomorrow the latest (if no rain).

Australia trail by 28 runs with 4 wickets remaining
