Broad to Lyon, OUT, Phew, that was quick! Broad eight, Australia routed for 60 in 18.3 overs.. Good length and swerves away outside off with some extra bounce. Lyon simply pushes his bat in the channel and edges it to sixth slip

Sixth slip?

My only gripe about the Ashes generally is that both sides can't endure humiliating defeats at the same time, oh well, I'll take this :whistling:

Signature worthy material! :D

I don't think anyone saw England winning this series nevermind putting up a performance like this before the series started.

I admit I though Smith was a bit of a tool for running his mouth off before the series but I still thought Oz would be too strong...

Starc to Lyth, FOUR, b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l. Starc errs too full and outside off, Lyth unfurls a bent-knee drive, so pretty that is should be danced to at weddings. Lyth caresses it to the cover boundary

Obviously cricket journalism wasn't the writer's first choice career. Poetry it seems doesn't pay well enough.

Yet, again, England got perfect weather conditions for bowling. Australia, yet again too aggressive at the start of a test(they not the only team doing that). Everyone should know, test cricket, this time of year in England batting requires extreme patience and great leaving.

And the sun broke through just in time for England to bat :D

Something tells me Clarke won't be captain for very much longer after this series.

I couldn't agree more.

England are cruising! This is also the biggest partnership of the match.
