If they sit next ot each other you can also diy an exhaust area with an extractor fan and direct airflow from both with a simple cardboard box. I saw that online too... Or make a false wall and void that keeps the hot air separate and extractor to expel it.

Any thoughts . I reboot D3 to check board. When D3 starts all three boards hash normally indicating 17gh/s . After few minutes drops to 12gh/s . first board appears to stop hashing showing zero mh/s. No xx errors etc . Will take picture. Website prohashing shows normal to high hashing rate for D3..

Here's the picture. Should I try resetting firmware to default settings. Chain 1 reports Zero but average seems correct

Mine would occasionally lose an entire board. I loaded the custom firmware and am very happy with the results. Give that a try first - undervolt to level 3 and switch hashrate to 400 then tweak hashrate up from there. You have many options to tweak with the custom firmware so you can troubleshoot at least with an issue like that. Could be temperature or voltage issue.

Hey guys. I've tried to connect my D3 to Multipool's x11 multiport (i.e. stratum+tcp://eu.multipool.us:11111) and I get keep getting variations on the following error:

Pool # stratum share submission failure
Pool # stratum+tcp://eu.multipool.us:11111 not responding!
---
Full log here: pastebin.com/5BB1tsEN

When I switch to another provider's pool, I have no issues and the unit runs at full hash power.

I've checked my Multipool account settings and everything seems right.

Any ideas?..

Must be an issue with their pool - I'll check those settings and confirm in a bit.

You and I are having weird issues... so my one D3 looks like this (custom firmware):

Fan 1 is turning fine though registering 0. Board 2 is not registering temps but hashrate is fine... I'm going to try swapping cables to see... weird. With the custom firmware it hashes just fine. Nice and quiet too.

Another thing to test is swap controller boards to see if it isn't that. It may operate fine with these issues but it would be nice to know what the issue is. Possibly something stupidly simple like a blown cap or resistor or sensor.

*EDIT* now all of a sardine it's registering the temps. Possibly a dry solder joint on that cable?? Or possibly a finicky sensor that's now working since it's warmed up a bit...

Settings look fine - has to be an issue with their pool. Try the US address perhaps? Maybe have both in the miner config as a backup.

I tried the east US address earlier. I'll try the west one but I doubt it will be different.

Compared to other provider the ping differences were negligible. I also tested the unit's line rate (WiFi) and the latency was low enough not to matter.

Could it be an issue with my ISP (Afrihost)? Fwiw I am on 100Mbps fibre.

EDIT: The west one is the same. I only get 1/3-1/2 of my hash rate at best. Any ideas?..

Hmm... how do fibre connections work - you get an IP at the equipment they provide - so no PPPOE? Otherwise I'd gladly share my ADSL details for you to test.

No, everything is assigned dynamically. Very much along the same lines as ADSL, including PPPoE. The only difference is they bundle the Telkom line rental and so you can't have concurrent connections on the same account. That also makes your details useless, I'm afraid. Appreciate the offer tho. :)

I've been trying to troubleshoot the issue with a mate of mine in PTA. He has the exact same settings as me and zero problems. His only advice is to try move from WiFi to an Ethernet connection but my router and mining set up are too far apart and it's not easy.

I tried submitting a query to the Multipool forums but they don't seem to have much in the way of support. I'll try find a decent subreddit next.

^^Yeah, wifi will add latency which is a critical vector when avoiding stale shares.

For my own sanity, I took it off WiFi and hard wired it to the router. The problem is persisting. This is a typical readout:
