The Asic thread

Might actually be more profitable to mine on Prohashing multipool and simply earn in Verge. I'll do a 24-hr run there too next.

Good point... anyone else who do Verge? I have both on multipool for a few days, will see.
OK, list of pools - zpool in there too

https://vergecurrency.com/pools/

Anyone tried overclocking yet? I did it for a bit - mine seem pretty stable. I went up to 460 ish and it was pretty solid. Don't want to overdo it so I switched back again. Would rather be in it for the long term than take chances.

460 or 560?

Nah haven't had the balls to do it yet. When it's out of warranty I'll start mucking about.

With regards to the Altcoins, seems like LTC is tanking quite badly at the moment so anything else might just be worth it.

If nothing else, LTC is consistent in the way it yo-yos around an average. It'll be back. Just be sure you're in there if they make the Facebook announcement.

Facebook announcement?

Luckily I have no need to sell just yet.. so currently stockpiling earnings from two units, third one is currently offline due to some R&D to see if I can get the cooling and heating sorted.

Holding for now, will drop some if it ever reaches $0.20, but maybe around 30% of my holding, the rest I'll HODL until I have more direction of what it's going to do.

As for the config:

https://www.multipool.us/dashboard/help/

That gives a nice little console for helping with the config for the various coin.

But in short:

Server: stratum+tcp://us.multipool.us:3340
Username: srothman.1 (It HAS to be that worker name, otherwise it won't work :D )
Password: x

Only thing that really changes it the port associated with each coin. 3340 mines XVG, 7777 mines Scrypt multipool, etc. etc.

One thing I did notice was the latency is higher on multipool than litecoinpool. Also eu.multicoin rather than us.multicoin - about 50ms better on the eu site.

I see a custom firmware for L3+ but they want lots of $$ for it. Waiting for a community developed version. Would like to have fan speeds based on a highest target processor temperature.

What is stopping you from purchasing one and loading it to multiple units?

Seems like it might be worth it though if their figures are correct. Also why, why test it one three boards and not 4.

I'm wary of this, to be honest. What's stopping Mr. Dev from stealing hash power? I know this holds true for the D3 and all other custom FW, and if they are upfront about Dev Mining Time, that's fine, but still... don't know what sort of backdoors are built in.

Agree - unless it's open source, don't touch it.

I believe there's a license key somewhere - probably have to put it in the GUI.
Not sure what you mean about testing it on three boards and not four?

The pictures that they used to demonstrate that the firmware works, there is only three working boards, one seems to be dead
