The Audi A6 Thread

New Audi A6 Allroad unveiled

Sporting distinctive styling and several adventure-focused enhancements, Audi has pulled back the curtain on the new A6 Allroad.

Audi has revealed the all-new A6 Allroad. The adventure-focused A6 measures 5 016 mm in length and, built on a wide body for the first time, 110 and 84 mm wider than the current-generation A6 Avant and previous A6 Allroad, respectively. Compared to the former and latter, the track has also been increased, by 74 and 55 mm, respectively. The box-fresh A6 Allroad offers 34 mm more ground clearance than the A6 Avant and adopts model-specific adaptive air suspension with 55 mm adjustment range, enhanced all-wheel steering, and chunkier tyres.

The A6 Allroad is available with the choice of two powertrain options: e-hybrid and V6 TDI. The e-hybrid setup pairs a 185 kW 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol internal combustion engine (ICE) with a 105 kW electric motor – the latter fed by a 20.7 kWh (net) battery. The plug-in hybrid (PHEV) produces combined power and torque outputs of 270 kW and 500 N.m, delivered to the road via the German marque’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. Audi says the e-hybrid offers an electric-only operating range of 95 km. Regenerative braking can be adjusted in multiple increments, while a target battery charge level can be selected via the MMI digital display.

Equipped with quattro all-wheel drive, the V6 TDI model’s 3.0-litre turbodiesel ICE churns out 220 kW and 580 N.m. The V6 oil-burner is supplemented by Audi’s MHEV plus technology, which comprises a belt alternator starter and powertrain generator, which delivers an additional 18 kW boost for short durations, and an electric compressor.
