15,000km intervals. Between R600 and R1,600 from Audi.

Will get the cam belt done at about 110,000km.

Congrats man great deal you got there.

Just FYI the Turbo models only have their cambelt due at 180 000km not 120 000km like most other cars, as such I would imagine the non-Turbo models aren't much different.

Who is the mechanic you keep referring to? Norman at Wackers by any chance?

Nice pics dude

My wife did a rather sexy one of my cab a while back. Did all sorts of effects on it and made it look a real beauty.
Will see if I can find it quick to show you (you must do something similar :D)

Thanks, nope, Driveway Motors in Retreat, as well as the service centre at VW where i bought.

Please tell me where you find said Nightbreakers because I'm struggling.
If online even better.

Thats correct.

Audi will charge you R8500.

The belt itself goes for around R185. Water pump R380 +/-, if you wanna do it yourself. Only crap is getting the bumper off.

Whackers are sharks. They tried to get me to replace my power steering rack when they said it was leaking. They wanted R30,000 for a new one, or R5,500 for a refurbished one. Took it to a power steering specialist for a second opinion who said nothing was wrong with it.

Wackers quoted me R3500 for cambelt and waterpump.

But that being said they also wanted me to replace my brakes at the last service which I'm still using just fine 15 000km later.

So yeah you need to think twice with everyone.

Car will be going to Goch and Cooper in future, who are quite excellent.
