I must also admit, even on my A3 I can tell it sits on the road very well, more so than any other cars I've owned or driven (barring GTI or R performance cars naturally).

The nice thing is that is has an LSD, so this little FWD sedan does quite well, especially in dynamic mode (even without magnetic suspension). Turbos do eat gas if it hits full boost though, so I avoid going over 3000 unless really needed, yet still have more than enough to outpace most traffic.

I agree. A5 was a step backwards. A7 or A8 is Mike's only redemption.

If you stick with the A5 or switch for the A6, you will never feel fulfilled.

If I was a toppie then I would jump at that A8 in a heartbeat :p It just oozes class.

And to hell with resale value, especially if you plan on keeping the car for a while. If we all cared about resale, then we wouldn't be driving cars that we love. You can't put a price on that smile you get when you jump in...
 
+1 to Mike getting that gorgeous A8. It just makes sense.

Yeah man, that's what it's all about. I've been driving and buying sensible for too long and 6 months ago I just said 'fsuk it'. Absolutely love my Touareg no matter how much I lose on it ONE DAY.

Now is now and now is what counts.
