Duly noted. Will resist looking at cars for another 6 months at leastThat's a damned nice preowned A5/6 for that price right there.

So, I just dropped R115k on my new baby:
2007 A4 2.0T FSi with sport pack/mags
< 103,000km on the clock
6 Speed manual
Cambelt done at 90k.![]()
Still under extended warranty for the next 6 months or so.
IMMACULATE condition - full 150-point Bosch inspection done and all they could find was one tiny scratch on the paintwork which they had to look really hard to find.
After I had test driven this thing I was sold. It's quite an upgrade from my '05 Polo 1.6![]()
Some pics for anyone who is interested:
Now, I have some questions for those who have experience with these vehicles:
1. I really am going to miss the Bluetooth functionality that I have in my Polo. What are my options for upgrading the current system to something that has Bluetooth, doesn't look out of place, and works with the Bose sound, at a reasonable price? A unit with a 7" display would be sweet, but the ones I've seen at +-4k are not compatible with the Bose sound.
2. Are there options for upgrading tail lights to LEDs at a reasonable price?
3. Daytime running lights - one thing I really love about the B8 Audis. Is there any way to add these to a B7 that's not going to look tacky?
Hoping you guys can tell me my money was well spent.![]()
I was keen on this one, just a bit of effort being in Durban. Congrats.

Nearly had a heart attack with insurance quotations (me being 24) but eventually came right with a reasonable quote with Hollard via a broker.
Now I can have some fun![]()
What are you paying?

+1, shouldn't be terrible even at 24.
Also - congrats!
What are you paying?
I'm paying R755 with a R3k excess.+1, shouldn't be terrible even at 24.

Thanks bud. I had a look at those. Just need to figure out whether mine has a CD changer or not. Not sure yet.Hi Mark,
Congrats on the new ride.
I fitted one of these into the cubby hole. Emulates a cd changer and has bluetooth as optional extra. Quite happy with it so far
I plan on extending the warranty furtherCongrats! Money well spent. Although you still have a warranty, make it a habit to put aside money every month for future maintenance. It should be mandatory like an insurance premium.
I'm 27 and paying R669 for my 2.0 through a broker and Santam.
I'm paying R755 with a R3k excess.
But every single other quote I got was in the region of R2000 p/m with as much as a R15,000 excess. Madness!
Is that not a bit high? Unless you have no excess?
