As far as I can see it is not a quattro.

Anyway, I am going today to have a look at the car and maybe see if I can take it for a test drive.
 
Howsit guys,

Just went to view a 2013 a3 1.8T SE 3dr manual. Lovely car ( for someone driving a 1998 corsa) and reasonably priced. Going to test drive on Monday. Car has 10k km / March 2018 maintenance plan left. Last service was just done 700km ago. Nothing major done during services, saw temp sensors were replaced.

Anything I should look into specifically?

Did the previous owner actually drive the car? Only 10k km on a 2013 model...

At that mileage, I will ask for a history from Audi to identify what has been done on the car. I.e. was it normal servicing or was extra work done on the car.

Nothing else I can think of.

It happens. Especially since these types of cars are popular with pensioners that hardly go anywhere but have the money to still swop cars ever three years.

My folks have friends like that.

My old man bought his Audi A6 4.2 from them back in the day with 32000km on the clock for next to nothing and literally still had new car smell and same extended Motorplan etc.

Don't recall the model years but I know it was older than 5 years at the time as Audi needed to facilitate the deal to get around the finance age limit issue.

He says that there is 10k km left on the maintenance plan. Last service wast done recently. With a 100k km maintenance plan, that means the car is sitting on 90k km...

Think you read this wrong. 10k km/ march 2018 left on maintenance plan, which ever comes first. Maybe I should of wrote it better sorry. Car has 90k km on the clock.

From what dealership selling car saw there was a temp sensor replaced and other regular 15000km servicing done. I will ask them to send me that as well just that can see everything 100% and not just scan through it. Asked to quote on extending the maintenance plan and warranty.

Busy checking some some online reviews. Seems like some people having good experiences and other not, seems like motor is good. People having more issues with suspension and steering rack.

I am curious as to what the cost will be for extending the maintenance plan and warranty - please let us know what they quoted you, if you dont mind.
 
You might be better off getting a good warranty and find a good indie in your area.

Extensions normally are quite expensive.
 
Motor plan extension on Audi's is out of this world. Not worth it. Find a 3rd party plan rather.
 
Sportback A3 1.4 2010 due for a service in 122 days.. looking at 5k for general 135k km service,...oil change, oil and pollen filter change,spark plugs...- have to see and wait what else crops up during their inspection.
 
So went to drive the A3.

All went well but isnt 100% what id like to purchase. Think if had cruise control and auto gearbox would of pulled the trigger. Still dont have any quote on extended warranty and maintenance plan.

I shall keep looking.

When I bought my A4, the initial plan was to buy an A3 Sportback. But, then I realised that from a spec and pricing perspective, there was more (and better) options wrt A4s.
 
We already know that the Audi RS4 and Rs5 are well on their way based on recent sightings. We also know that the two will make use of the 2,9-litre V6 currently used in the Porsche Panamera 4S.

But new information uncovered by Motor1 reveals that these engines are likely to gain added power.

A reader sent what is supposedly a confidential image that shows a Norwegian dealer presentation slide regarding the RS4 Avant, RS5 Coupe and RS5 Sportback.

The slide apparently reveals that the turbocharged six-pot will churn out 335 kW and 600 N.m (up from the 324 kW and 550 N.m it makes in the Porsche), which will allow each model to rocket from 0-100 km/h in less than four seconds. Top speeds will be capped at 250 km/h, but an optional dynamic package can push that figure to 280 km/h.

It was also revealed that the RS4 Avant will likely go into production at the end of 2017, with the RS5 Coupe six months earlier. The RS5 Sportback, which could fill the gap left by the RS4 Sedan, will reportedly be produced later, after both of its siblings have reached the showroom.

Motor1 suggests that, based on the production dates mentioned above, the RS5 Coupe could be revealed at Geneva in March and the RS4 Avant at Frankfurt in September.

100% agree. But, to me anyways (might get shot for saying this) the A4 seems a bit on boring side. Also dont need that much car.

But value for money A4 is the way to go. Definitely keep looking around, saw a nice 2009 a4 3.0tdi just now.
