The 3.0tdi has the stronger box with wet clutch and the 2.0tdi has the dry clutch but both are 7 speed afaik.
if it says tiptronic then its torque converter, s-tronic is dual clutch, multitronic is CVT.Also remember that most of the VAG cars using the 3.0TDi use a torque converter based automatic gearbox and not a dual clutch.
Not the Audi's...Also remember that most of the VAG cars using the 3.0TDi use a torque converter based automatic gearbox and not a dual clutch.
The Q7 is tiptronic now afaik. Not the Audi's...

A6 uses S tronic dual clutch systemThe bulk of the larger Audi's like Q7 and A6/8 will use a torque converter box.

What oil do you use?So I was thinking today, it been 2 years with my C7.5 3.0Tdi A6 ownership , just hit the 150 000km mark when I got the car it was 120 000km full service history with the dealer. I did an oil change last year at ulimate motorpsort in Pretoria because RMI for warranty, this year I serviced it myself and I have to say in the 2 years I never had to top up oil in between services on my BMWs it was the norm to top up every 1000km - its strange not having to do that with an Audi
Ultimate Motorsport invoice shows Shell 5W40 didnt state, mineral or syntheicWhat oil do you use?
What does it say in your owners manual?Ultimate Motorsport invoice shows Shell 5W40 didnt state, mineral or syntheic
When I did my own service I used Liqui Moly full synthetic that green one 5W40 as well, I wanted 0W40 goldwagen didnt carry it, I thought 0W40 would be easier on the chain rattle at start up as it should be a little thinner - but settled for the 5W40
Synthetic 0W30 or 0W40 or 5W40What does it say in your owners manual?
