The Audi Thread

I took over my mother's 1992 CitiGolf Sport with 1.8l engine and 5 speed before it went to my brother who wrote it off. Such great memories in that car in my late teens and early twenties at university and I sort of go down memory lane in my 1982 MkI Golf although with a 1.5l engine it is far from being quick.
I had a Caddy with a worked 1.8L, the smoothest engine, pulled so sweetly.

8v I presume? I owned an early 90's Kingfisher Blue Caddy for a while that one of the previous owners had modified with a 2.0 16v ABF engine on 45mm Precision ITB's and a few other bits and pieces. I used it is a track car for VWCSA events and open track days at places like Zwartkops.

Yes I assume it was an 8v, I don’t think I have ever driven a smoother engine it was an absolute joy and tons of power.

Anyone on here that has been using your Audi DataPlug for a while need to confirm something
Sorry guys, I have a dataplug question, I changed phones and now need the 8 digit PIN to pair the new phone to the dataplug, is the PIN on the box, in the box or on the instruction pamphlet, I looked and couldn't find it. There was a 9 digit code on the back of the box but that didn't work.

Perhaps I am being blind. Else I'll unplug the thing and the PIN should be on there, just I couldn't do it earlier and neighbours car was too close to mine.

PIN in printed on the box on the side which has the barcode

All fixed?
Nope.

I went there to check up on the car this weekend, it wasn't closed to being fixed, then I saw how the interior looked and organised a flatbed to bring it back home.

Will first get the mould sorted out and then take it to someone else to finish up on the repair work.

Feeling very heartsore about all of this, but will give it some proper attention when I can as I also caught the flu over the weekend, feeling a bit down in the dumps all things considered.

Today was supposed to be day 1 of no smoking but now I think I'll start tomorrow.

What repairs need to be done to it?

I treated the leather on one of my cars and left it closed up for a while only to have mold grow on it.wasnt too hard to clean off.
Could also be a waterleak

Details were posted earlier in the thread but the car went in for an engine rebuild that wasn't coming to an end, so I went and fetched the car and saw that the interior was trashed.

Got the mats and stuff taken out now and I'm busy airing it out, then once it's dry I'll tackle the mould. I think because the car was on ramps for the last +-9 months, the water never reached the drains and it all ran back through the headliner to the interior of the car.
