I have a 55l tank. When I bought my 3L Q7 in 2011, reading up about petrol or diesel, the best move was to choose diesel. If you drive wisely, you can get 1300km on a 100L tank.![]()

Yep took it to vagspec cleaned it for R1700.have you had the blocked sunroof drain problem?
before it was a problem?Yep took it to vagspec cleaned it for R1700.
What is it?Can anyone offer advice on purchasing and installing aftermarket parking sensors in the Durban area? Audi provided me with a quote of R30k for both front and rear sensors, but they mentioned that it would not be compatible with the MMI system. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Crazy most sound shops In cpt can do for 3k of less. Then just works when you go in reverse. Where original would be able to work 24/7 in some carsCan anyone offer advice on purchasing and installing aftermarket parking sensors in the Durban area? I think it takes an vag specialist to integrate it like oem.Crazy most sound shops In cpt can do for 3k of less. Then just works when you go in reverse. Where original would be able to work 24/7 in some cars
the worst part is thier quote is for a generic white color to, not matching the car color.Crazy most sound shops In cpt can do for 3k of less. Then just works when you go in reverse. Where original would be able to work 24/7 in some cars

I'm interested in getting front parking sensors after a recent incident where I almost hit a car that suddenly stopped at a stop sign while I was focused on cross traffic.
If you dont mind me asking where did you get yours done and what brand did you go for.I think it takes an vag specialist to integrate it like oem.
I'm also in durban. Mine has rear only, after market though so I would also like to make it OG.
Sorry, I bought mine at 160k on the odo and it had it already. If you dont mind me asking where did you get yours done and what brand did you go for.
If it helps, my PDC at the rear also has its own speaker underneath the left side boot cover next to the GPS receiver unit - standard Audi, but maybe on the newer models they integrate better with the MMI system.Sorry, I bought mine at 160k on the odo and it had it already.
I has a very annoying beeping sound that I think plays through its own shitty speaker somewhere instead of muting the sound system and playing through the proper speakers. Nothing like the original vag spec.
And the damn sensors are not flush with the bumper!
This is my first audi, but I've owned many vw's with pdc before and the beeps always played through the door speakers. I can't believe audi would be any different. If it helps, my PDC at the rear also has its own speaker underneath the left side boot cover next to the GPS receiver unit - standard Audi, but maybe on the newer models they integrate better with the MMI system.
Come to think of it, I think the initial beep when my PDC engages might play through the speakers but the beeping as I get closer to objects might play via the speaker at the rear of the car. But I will need to check to make 100% sure. This is my first audi, but I've owned many vw's with pdc before and the beeps always played through the door speakers. My one vw (G6 gti) parked itself.
The OEM style will reduce the music volume and play an easy on the ear beeping that changes speed the closer you get. I even had a pic of the car on the NAV screen with 3 levels of distance from the bumber. I also had a reversing camera on the golf which in my opinion can take the place of the PDC as it does a waaay better job than a PDC.Come to think of it, I think the initial beep when my PDC engages might play through the speakers but the beeping as I get closer to objects might play via the speaker at the rear of the car. If I look on catcar, there seems to be two different PDC systems available. The one with the audible aid has two buzzers, one at the rear and one at the front of the car. The second system, which is PDC with a reversing camera, has no buzzers, so I would assume that this system integrates with the MMI system instead?
I feel your pain. The OEM style will reduce the music volume and play an easy on the ear beeping that changes speed the closer you get. An example: Someone has parked you in. You try and reverse and your PDC is screaming at you that you are at your limit but the camera is telling you you can go another 300mm.
My audi lacks a camera, can you tell?
My house mate had a caddy POS with PDC. No screen to display info, but still have the same style beeping.I feel your pain.
I wonder if the B9 A4 had a different style of PDC? It doesn't make sense why they would have one system in the VW products and another in the Audi ones as they love sharing parts and ideas across the brands.
Unfortunately you can't get a cheap aftermarket system that integrates properly with the MMI. The price you got seems crazy because you'd also need a new MMI interface module that supports the upgrade, and the wiring loom and new grill/bumper along with the sensors. Not worth it.Can anyone offer advice on purchasing and installing aftermarket parking sensors (parking distance control - PDC) in the Durban area?
