Yep. I try to remove emotions from most sport. The minute emotions are involved, that is when the need to leave it alone.

True, Let's see if Baxter is brave enough to have an attacking line up, I would throw everyone in If were him Lars, Mothiba and Tau. We are going to lose if we go there to play for a draw.

The argument is was that a penalty?
If it was a studs up challenge shouldn't the keeper have gotten a red card?

I'm arguing from both sides of the coin, the ref saw the save but the keepers foot did shift sideways and kick the player in the face - seems like an unnatural movement - borderline malicious that would have meant a red card and penalty given, why was only a penalty given?

On the other hand the keeper is entitled to protect himself when jumping for the ball - any keeper that jumps to catch the ball will of course jump with his knee leading in order to generate height...

Realistically I would say this should have never been a penalty as the player was never going to reach the ball - it was the keeper's ball and he took it well the subsequent kick in the face could possibly be a resultant of the keepers claim for the ball - leeway should have been given to the keeper
 
Finally, something we've been missing for years: a player who can finish when given a half-chance. Even though he missed a 1-on-1 for his hat-trick, Percy Tau is more than capable in front of goal. Great game by him!

The guy is on fire, I like the big guy as well, Mothiba, reminds me of those good old fashioned strikers like Phil Masinga.
My only concern is the midfield, something was just not working yesterday, I think Dean Furman was having an off day.

You think so? I think he played okay without being too spectacular. Did his job for the most part I feel. There is obviously room for improvement, but the main thing last night was qualifying. All three of our relevant sport teams (Boks, Proteas and Bafana) will be in competitive tournament action this year, and for that I am super excited.

He is also scoring for his Belgian club, so much that Ian Wright had nothing but good words about him, you know that you are doing something right when a legend like Ian takes notice.
 
Bafana star scoops Player of the Year award in Belgium

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana attacker Percy Tau was on Monday named as the Proximus League Player of the Year in Belgium's second tier after starring for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise. Tau beat out Union Saint-Gilloise team-mate Faiz Selemani and KV Mechelen's Nikola Storm to the prestigious award leading his side to a third placed finish in the league and the playoffs to the Belgian Pro League.

In his maiden season in Europe the on-loan Brighton & Hove Albion attacker made 34 appearances, scoring 11 goals and proving 13 assists. Tau has also now won back-to-back individual accolades after being crowned the Absa Premiership's Player of the Season and Player's Player of the Season awards for the 2017/2018 campaign.
